Dear Oak Spring Farm CSA Members,
We’re writing to introduce ourselves as the farmers who will be stewarding Oak Spring Farm for the 2026 season.
Our names are Erika Roan and Adam Mihalik, and between us we bring over 25 years of hands-on farming experience in Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Maryland and more.
We had been preparing to start our own farm business at the same time Lisa was looking for the next farmers of Oak Spring Farm CSA. The opportunity to continue what she has built came together at just the right moment, and we’re truly grateful for the chance to carry the farm forward.
First and most importantly:
the farm is continuing.
The land, the fields, the infrastructure, and the spirit of Oak Spring remain the same. What you can expect from your organic CSA share- fresh, nutritious, carefully grown vegetables- will continue to be the foundation of what we do.
We’re excited to build on the foundation that’s already here, and we want to share a bit about how we approach the work and what you can expect from us this season.
We are farmers who believe in:
-
doing the daily work of farming with attention and intention
-
making thoughtful, practical decisions that keep the farm strong and sustainable
-
running a farm that is deeply productive and deeply connected to the people who eat from it
Our goal
To honor what has made Oak Spring meaningful to you, while bringing our own energy and perspective to the work.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more details about the 2026 CSA season. We’ll make sure everything is clear and ready before asking you to renew or enroll. We appreciate your patience as we work through this transition together with Lisa.
Lisa will continue to be involved this season, coaching us through the handoff and supporting the farm she has built—so you are very much in good hands.
We share Lisa’s sentiment: you are who we do this for, you keep this farm going season after season. We appreciate you.
For now, we simply wanted to reach out and say hello, and to let you know that we’re excited to grow for you.
Thank you for being part of this community, and we look forward to getting to know you.
Warmly,
Erika Roan & Adam Mihalik
