Frequently Asked Questions:
How does it work?
When you sign up, you pick a small (2 adults), medium (3 adults), or large (4+ adults) vegetable share.
You can also sign up for one or more of our add-on shares to round out your weekly groceries: pasture raised eggs, local cheese, local small batch coffee, fresh local sourdough, local fruit, and local pastured meats.
Each week we send you an email with a box of what’s in season that week, based on your preferences. You have a few days to go onto our web platform and swap items or add extras.
Then, you receive your share packaged in a cardboard box or cooler bag, which you either pick up at one of our drop locations or we deliver to your front door.
Oak Spring Farm partners with Harvie to customize weekly shares based on your preferences.
You rank the vegetables we grow on a scale of 1-5.
We’ll give you more of what you like and none of what you don’t!
Our great features include:
- Weekly email with recipes & storage tips plus a preview of your customized CSA box.
- Further customize your share each week by swapping out items on the list online.
- Extra items can be added online to your CSA share each week.
- Pay in full or use a payment plan (25% at signup, 25% first delivery week, 50% distributed into payments each delivery week).
A CSA is more than just groceries.

~ You’ll be supporting a local farmer without the middleman which means making our community stronger.
~ Your fruits and vegetables couldn’t be any fresher which means they’re more delicious and more nutritious. We literally just pulled them out of the earth.
~ Its inexpensive. Vegetables from the farm are nutrient dense and last longer so they’ll make it to the end of the week without going bad before you can use them.
~ Your personal likes and dislikes (and any food allergies) are taken into consideration because with the Harvie CSA platform your share is fully customizable!
~We’ll send recipes each week to help you discover the delicious flavors of that week’s selections AND you will gain membership to our exclusive FB group where we discuss weekly recipes, talk storage tips and other great local items to pair with your weekly veg. There will be photo contests and all kinds of ‘just for members’ events.
~On vacation or traveling? Gift your week’s share to a friend, double up on your share the week before or the week after or donate it to the food bank in your name.

Fun word of the day. Nope, I'm not talking about Regenerative Agriculture, I'll get to that in a minute. I was looking at my daily inspirational quote and clicked on 'Do you know these words?' I found one that hit home. Argillaceous:(Of rocks or sediment)...
